Since 1966, World Medical Relief’s Local Programs have been dedicated to ensuring Michigan residents can obtain affordable medications and essential health services. What began as our Affordable Prescriptions initiative has grown into a range of community-focused programs, all supported by our state-licensed pharmacy since day one.

Today, we proudly serve low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals throughout Michigan with compassionate, respectful care.

Through our National Programs, we also collaborate with partner organizations across the United States to bring practical support wherever it’s needed most.

What we offer locally

Blanket Relief – Wayne, Oakland & Macomb Counties
- Every fall we partner with 60+ shelters to distribute free twin-size blankets, baby blankets, and year-round hygiene kits that bring warmth and dignity to families in crisis.

Diabetes Program – Statewide
- A branch of our Affordable Prescriptions Program, this service offers low-cost diabetes medications, testing supplies, and hands-on education filled through our state-licensed pharmacy. Learn More.

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) – Metro Detroit
- Need a cane, walker, hospital bed, or tub bench? Approved clients can pick up gently used equipment from our Southfield warehouse (handling fee applies).

Medical Supply Service – Metro Detroit
- Eligible clients may receive essential disposables; dressings, bandages, gloves, liquid nutrition, adult briefs, bed pads, and more for a small handling fee.

Support for Partner Organizations – Nationwide
- Community groups anywhere in the United States can request donated medical resources. Simply complete Application C and email it to [email protected]; our team will follow up with next steps.
